Actress Vidya Balan recently opened up about facing sexism with men, women and herself. According to her, at times she has underestimated herself being a woman. Vidya told in an interview that sexism is not just about how men treat women. It is also about the mindset women have as a result of their deep rooted conditioning.
Vidya Balan, who no longer holds herself back because of gender, said, “I have faced sexism from men, women and myself. I also admit that I have sometimes underestimated myself for being a woman. However, over time I have realized that there is a way out. Now I never hold myself back because of my gender.”

The actress also talked about the appreciation she is getting from fans for her recently released film ‘Lioness’. Vidya said, “I make films for people to watch. The more people watch my films, the more happiness I get.” However, he added that it is not about verification. She chooses the stories she wants to reach and it is based on what the audience will like. Vidya Balan is one of the most talented actresses of Bollywood.
